I'm a Toronto based writer, specializing in advertising copy and screenwriting.
Writing has always been my main focus. My very first creative effort was a short story in second grade about a genie living in a cereal box. By my current standards it might be a bit convoluted and riddled with plot holes, but not bad for an 8 year old.
I began my professional career as a screenwriter, working in film & TV. I have worked on various projects between Vancouver, Los Angeles, Toronto, and The UK. Since 2010, I have won 9 awards for my screenwriting efforts.
In 2013, I became interested in copywriting, recognizing its similarities with film by using story to communicate your message. As I began to study advertising, I could see how storytelling was the driving force of every campaign, regardless of the medium. I've enjoyed the challenge of using multiple platforms and mediums to engage people.
I love the concept of using creativity as a means for problem solving. It's quite satisfying.
When I finally get up from my computer chair, I usually sit right back down again on my drum stool. I love to bike around the city, play baseball, and snowboard. Iām also a Seinfeld and Simpsons trivia champion, and proud owner of one of the chonkiest cats you've ever seen.
I'm currently a senior writer looking to grow my advertising experience and contribute to a strong creative team.
